TechnologyOne continues New Zealand success with eight new customers
Executive Chairman for TechnologyOne, Mr Adrian Di Marco, said the wins were particularly encouraging because the market for enterprise software is not growing substantially.
"It's a zero sum game today," he said.
"In order to continue to grow our business we have to win new customers from our competitors, who are often entrenched in the operations of these organisations."
"Despite a challenging market, we grew our licence fee revenue by 11% for the financial year ending October 2009; in the same period that our competitors experienced a decline in licence fees."
TechnologyOne has won all major New Zealand government deals for Financial Management solutions since 2005- including Ministry of Justice, Ministry of Agriculture & Forestry, Ministry of Economic Development and the Ministry for the Environment. The company has also won all competitive health board tenders for Financial Management since 2005, with the Nelson, Hawkes Bay, Tairwahiti and the Lakes District Health Boards all using TechnologyOne software solutions.
TechnologyOne is the dominant provider of software solutions to the higher education sector in New Zealand, with leading institutions such as the University of Otago and Massey University utilising the TechnologyOne Financials solution and approaching 50% of all polytechnics.
TechnologyOne has annual revenues exceeding $120 million and has worked in the NZ market since 2000 to become the dominant provider of software solutions in its key vertical markets: health, local government, central government, education, community services and managed services.
Other key customers for the company in New Zealand include the Ministry of Justice, Far North District Council, Goodman Fielder and Fairfax.
Further cementing the company's status as the dominant provider of leading edge software solutions, TechnologyOne launched its Business Intelligence and Enterprise Budgeting products just 18 months ago and has sold these solutions to more than 200 customers. The corporate performance management tools provide a simple, intuitive user experience that makes it visually appealing and stress free to monitor, report and act upon risk and sustainability issues.
Janice Smith, Finance Manager at Far North District Council, is one of TechnologyOne's many customers using the fully integrated enterprise system.
"The system is highly intuitive and simple to understand, featuring an easy-to-read dashboard with traffic lights indicating alerts, potential problems and areas that are operating within approved parameters," said Ms Smith.
"If you are not an accountant, sifting through 25-30 meaningless codes to find the cause of a problem is really hard work. Numbers don't automatically tell people a story but everyone understands that a red light signals trouble.".
TechnologyOne employs more than 30 people in New Zealand, has offices throughout Australia, the United Kingdom and Malaysia, and plans to continue expansion internationally.
