East coast of Australia continues to simplify complexity with TechnologyOne SaaS

Brisbane, 3 September 2019 – TechnologyOne (ASX:TNE) has signed a new multi-year, $1.2 million agreement with Queensland’s Fraser Coast Regional Council, adding to its extensive enterprise Software as a Service (SaaS) footprint within the local government sector.

TechnologyOne will implement its industry-leading OneCouncil SaaS solution, enabling Fraser Coast to simplify the complexity of planning and managing a broad range of council responsibilities, through the delivery of instant access to real-time, relevant information.

Fraser Coast will replace a number of on-premise legacy software applications including asset management, payroll and electronic document management with TechnologyOne’s integrated cloud-based solution, helping to reduce costs and improve efficiencies.

“We have a long-term relationship with Fraser Coast Council who have been using our Financials and Property & Rating product for more than 15 years, so we’re very pleased to see the partnership evolve to SaaS,” said Stuart MacDonald, TechnologyOne’s Chief Operating Officer.

“Fraser Coast joins more than 330 local governments in Australia and New Zealand, including the Whitsundays and Cairns, that are embracing our SaaS solution to securely empower their digital transformation.

“Across Australia and New Zealand, 73 per cent of people live in council powered by TechnologyOne software, and that deep industry experience is a key reason more and more leading councils choose to partner with us.”

Ken Diehm, Chief Executive Officer, Fraser Coast Regional Council said the council chose to partner with TechnologyOne due to its high performing SaaS platform and fully integrated OneCouncil solution.

“Our mission is to provide timely, efficient, consistent and quality services that meet our customers' expectations. We no longer need to own and manage software or a complex computing infrastructure to do that,” said Diehm.

“The OneCouncil SaaS solution will remove a lot of overheads and help us to better manage our assets. We’re particularly excited about implementing the Asset Lifecycle Management suite as this will replace the three legacy asset systems we’re currently using.”

Diehm said the Council was excited about the future possibilities adopting the latest software will bring.

“Over time, potential benefits include the development of a customer-facing online portal, which will provide customers with the ability to log on and see all their transactions with Council, such as owned properties, pending applications and animal records,” Diehm said.

“The solution has the capability to improve our customer experience, from online customer requests, application lodgements and issue reporting for both residents and visitors.”

The Fraser Coast region, approximately 250 kilometres north of Brisbane, is centred on the twin cities of Hervey Bay and Maryborough, and Fraser Coast Regional Council is one of the region’s largest employers. A major international tourist destination, the region includes world heritage-listed Fraser Island.

The council’s implementation of OneCouncil is expected to commence early 2020.
