24 Nov 2020 – Three longstanding customers of TechnologyOne have participated in the co-development of a new Digital Experience Platform (DXP), which will benefit both council staff and constituents.
Tablelands Regional Council, Shellharbour City Council and the City of Greater Bendigo partnered with TechnologyOne to design and refine the DXP app, specifically identifying and addressing how to meet complex governance requirements of official council meetings.
According to Ed Chung, CEO of TechnologyOne, DXP is designed to provide a modern mobile user experience, expanding the power of Software as a Service (SaaS) to benefit both back office and front office staff and eventually - the local rate payer.
“With powerful workflow capabilities, DXP’s ability to plan, schedule and track meeting decisions is simplified and can be done on any device, anywhere, at any time.
“This makes DXP a great fit for councils and government entities that need to operate within a strict regulatory framework, and demonstrate transparency and efficiencies to their constituents,” Mr Chung said.
City of Greater Bendigo System Administrator, Michelle Stewart, said the City saw the potential of corporate meeting management via a Software as a Service (SaaS) environment and wanted to be involved in the DXP Meetings app from the ground up.
“Our meeting secretary had to copy reports back and forth between our SaaS and on-premise environments to run the minutes process,” Ms Stewart said.
“We needed to find a replacement that would streamline the process for end users and make it simpler to create and view reports. DXP Meetings is integrated with our ECM system, which gives us that single source of truth and allows us to meet our record-keeping requirements.
“The app provides a simplified and structured process for creating reports, agendas and minutes, and a platform for developing and following up meeting actions.
“Being a TechnologyOne partner for the last 17 years, it was appealing to work closely with TechnologyOne and contribute to shaping the new DXP interface.
“When we go live, the whole organisation will have access to DXP Meetings, from the CEO to those writing the reports,” she said.
Having successfully piloted the app as part of TechnologyOne’s early adopter program, the feedback is so positive that the City of Greater Bendigo now plans to deploy it organisation-wide.
DXP is available to TechnologyOne SaaS customers on the 2020A release or higher.
