Roundtable 8

Driving digital skills to deepen technology engagement

Written by UK Tech Cluster Group

COVID has underlined the importance of digital adoption for businesses across the economy. Whether it’s connecting with team members, enabling sales or building productivity, technology has been vital to the running of businesses during this crisis. However, digital adoption isn’t just a case of plug and play for many organisations, people are key in terms of their ability to understand the technology. Crucially, their willingness to use it is central to success.

A big element, I think, is the understanding that digital adoption is going to be a fairly significant change management process. It's rare that it's actually the tech or the adoption of the tech that's the difficult bit. It's actually the people in the changing, the way that they work.
